A wise person once said to me, "You should put all those recipes you try on a website!"
Now that I finally have a kitchen fit to cook in, along with my fantabulous KitchenAid mixer (my precioussss!!!) I discovered that I kinda like to cook. Annnnd, since the Boy gets tired of eating Mac & Cheese every day, I thought I had better get on the ball and learn how to, well, make stuff.
So here they are, in all their mangled and substituted glory. Hopefully I'll con other folks into posting their favorites as well. I've called on a bunch of my friends and family to contribute their tried-and trues, so that the rest of us can experience the wonders of...you guessed it...foooooood!
A few disclaimers:
I use my KitchenAid to mix almost everything. I use fast-acting yeast that I don't have to proof. I've gathered a lot of these recipes from random friends as well as from various cookbooks and recipe sites, and I'm sure there are 185658 variations thereof somewhere else out there. I tweak and substitute a lot if I don't like a particular ingredient or if I'm out of something. If it calls for cheese, I usually use about twice what the recipe calls for--same goes for anything chocolate. I apologize in advance if I ruined your favorite recipe by leaving out the mushrooms.
Oh...and that's one of my Hull "ducks" up there on top--I sorta have a weakness.
